ILM Art Department Challenge - The Job

This one was crazy but also so much fun.

For the Escape from Hoth I first though a storyboard would do but then decided to make a keyframe also. The reference to the Hidden Fortress was a treat, I love that movie.

The Danji: I completely missed the reference to the elves at first! And even if I thought they should be doable with just some makeup and prosthetics I went full ugly and probably not as "humanoid" as requested. Redone after reading Swana's description.
Tibetan prayer wheels and fishing wheels for the ships.
My painting for the meeting was "The Meeting of Sir Thomas More witih his Daughter after his Sentence of Death" by William Frederick Yeames.

Swana: after quite a few hit&misses I decided to keep her simple and give a nod to "The Hidden Fortress" and the samurais on the top of her head. Stole a painting from Jean Gerome because I love his works too!

Lastly a sketchier and sketchier storyboard is all i managed to do. Untouchable , sacred family holidays rule!
